Connected to a host that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode 1.4, the U521-1P0M-WH can transmit 8K at 30 Hz. Backward Compatible with Legacy USB and Thunderbolt 3 Devices Though both connected devices must support USB4 40Gbps for the cable to reach its full potential, the U521-1P0M-WH is backward compatible with USB 3.x, USB 2.0 and Thunderbolt 3 devices. It connects two USB-C devices, including MacBooks, Chromebooks, Windows laptops, Kindles, game consoles, smartphones, external hard drives, docking stations and wall chargers. It is compatible with all USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 devices, enabling use in existing installations while preparing for future upgrades. PD Charging Cable Keeps the Connected Notebook, Laptop or Other Device at Capacity The U521-1P0M-WH supports Power Delivery (PD) 3.1 charging of the connected PD Charging-compliant device.
