The top charging pad for smartphones extends toward you, so you can scroll, text or watch videos in landscape or portrait mode while the phone is charging. The bottom pad is for AirPods and other wireless charging-compatible earbuds, which can be charged in their case. Both charging pads can be used simultaneously.
